The first ever Prospect Estate Big Local (PEBL) Family Fun Day took place on Saturday 24th October at Cherrywood Primary School. 278 parents and children took part in a range of activities from cook and eat sessions, storytelling, sporty sessions, messy science, dance and drama and arts and crafts. It was a great day with non-stop action and activity.

Comments from local residents included  ‘You’ve done really well, everywhere I have been has been buzzing’ and  ‘I think this is a brilliant idea for families – now they can come and learn new skills and find out what is happening in the local area.’

The Fun Day was part of the PEBL Broadening Horizons theme, raising awareness of the learning and leisure opportunities available locally.

We couldn’t have done it without all the volunteers who helped on the day and our thanks go to Cherrywood Primary School for allowing us to use the facilities.

We’ll be running other events in the future –  if you’d like to get involved and help volunteer, please contact us on pebl.coordinator@gmail.com
