PEBL held a Wellbeing Day at the Prospect Community Centre on Saturday 15th October. Prospect residents were helped to give up Smoking and eat healthily. The following organisations attended – TalkPlus, BRAAIN (who are an ADHD, Autism & Special Needs Information Network), Solutions 4 Health and Andover Mind as well as NHS representatives with approximately 150 blood pressure checks being conducted throughout the day. Free aromatherapy kits were given to Prospect residents, and all were entered into a free raffle to win a £100 Asda gift card. PEBL Volunteers supplied free refreshments for all in attendance (including those queuing to get in) and the volunteers worked hard to make the day a success. PEBL’s Knit and Natter group also encouraged any who would like to join in and attend their bi-monthly Knit and Natter sessions. The event was extremely busy and resident feedback has shown that the day was both greatly appreciated and needed by the Community.
