In the late 1960’s, tree planting on the newly built Prospect Estate did not take into consideration appropriate location or the mature size of the tree. Consequently, some trees have now grown too close to dwellings, gardens, footways and garden walls.
The PEBL Tree Project is working with Rushmoor Borough Council to identify trees that present the greatest nuisance and will, within the resources of the project, carry out removals or pruning.
PEBL funded the planting of 27 trees across the Prospect Estate that were all planted in early 2022 These new trees have been positioned in the right place using the right species to help create a sustainable treescape in harmony with the built environment for future generations living in the Prospect Estate.
