The PEBL Area

Here’s a map of the PEBL area!

It includes:

• five schools
• four sports clubs
• two community centres
• a local shop and post office
• and even a scouts hut!

There are around 2,000 houses on the Prospect Estate, just think what could happen if we all connected to see the PEBL vision realised!

There are 150 Big Local areas around England who have been awarded £1m each. Big Local is being run by Local Trust, which is working with the Big Lottery Fund and a range of partners providing expert advice and support for residents.

 

Big Local Outcomes

Big Local our funders have four outcomes which they would like each of the Big Local areas to achieve. These are:

• Communities will be better able to identify local needs and take action in response to them.
• People will have increased skills and confidence, so that they continue to identify and respond to needs in the future.
• The community will make a difference to the needs it prioritises.
• People will feel that their area is an even better place to live.

 

Pebl Community Profile

The PEBL Community Profile was carried out in 2013. It gives a snapshot of the geography, history and challenges for residents of the Prospect Estate. PEBL Community Profile 28-10-13 (PDF)

 

Pebl Community Plan 2023/2024

The final PEBL Community Plan was drawn up after establishing community priorities based on resident feedback. The PEBL Partnership also spent two full days brainstorming options and findings with Just Ideas to ensure that we have the best and most productive plan for the community.  PEBL Year 9-10 Plan(PDF)

 

Pebl Community Plan 2021/2022

The original PEBL Community Plan was drawn up in response to the community profile. Since then we have put together updated Plans which have addressed what the community would like to see happen on the estate. The latest of these is as a result of our 2020 Community Survey and is our Year 7&8 PEBL Community Plan. PEBL Year 7-8 Plan (PDF) 

The first PEBL Community Plan was drawn up in 2014 in response to the Community Profile. It sets up out what the PEBL Partnership hopes to achieve to address some of these challenges. PEBL Community Plan 2014 (PDF)

 

Pebl Partnership

The PEBL Partnership’s made up of residents from the Prospect Estate, plus others who want to make a difference and help achieve the PEBL vision. The Partnership meets monthly to go over what’s happening with the different PEBL projects, consider grant applications, vote on proposals and make decisions.
